In a nutshell, there are many species who are killed in the millions annually and who suffer horribly, simply because humans deem these species to be overpopulated.  Such as kangaroos, rabbits, mice, and others in Australia, and deer, wild boars, prairie dogs and others in the U.S., and so on around the planet.  I believe that for these species, and individuals who number literally in the billions, chemical sterilization would be a blessing. ~ Alex Pacheco

  1. I think chemical sterilization is much preferable to animals being slaughtered and we may often have to go with this as the "lesser of two evils" rather like the neutering/spaying of dogs and cats.

The species that is most in need of population control though, is the human one, as human over-population in itself constitutes a major form of oppression of other animals.

Hopefully, a reduction of the human population can be achieved through education, but if this fails, we may need to look at other methods, rather than to allow territories and habitats that rightfully belong to other animals to continue to be occupied by the human tyrant.
