The fact that people may be rather befuddled by the terms “animals rights” and “animal rights violations” merely suggests to me that we have not used that language nearly enough, and we are failing in our “ripening” duties. ~ Dr. Roger Yates
I agree with you, Roger. And when animal rights is co-opted by utilitarian and non-rightist groups, the term becomes meaningless. Most likely the response I receive when I state that I support animal rights is,"Oh, you support PETA?" Yet even PETA admins admit they do not support animal rights theory, yet they refuse to quit using the term.
